I was never really a huge fan of pretzels, but wanted to try this spin-off place. You can order at a kiosk or up front. - Pizza Bomb Twistz: This wasn't bad, but could've used more pepperoni. It's definitely very cheesy. - Baja Elote Loaded Bitz: The portions for this were much bigger than I had thought. I liked this more than the Pizza Bomb Twistz even though I'm a meat lover and there's no meat on here. I wouldn't mind trying other things on the menu here next time, but definitely gotta watch out since they are super calorie dense!

This is in the same plaza as Sprouts in La Habra. I had to come check it out as it was a unique branch from a favorite mall snack. Modern twists on the classic pretzel dog, hot dogs, and had dessert chimney cones as well. I got the pizza twist and the cheese twist. They had a nice, toasted cheese crust and was filled inside with lots of cheese and fillings. No need for dip honestly. I also got the peach match drink. It was very sweet and I wish there was more matcha, but was refreshing. I think it's good to try once in a while if you're in the area, but nothing that makes me go wow. It is a bit pricey but what isn't nowadays. I still prefer their classic choices.

The food was delicious. I bought an Orange Creamsicle Slushie, and if you like Orange Creamsicle Popsicles, I recommend you try it here. Pizza bites were hot, and my kids loved them!

11/19/23 - When we arrived at this place, it wasn't very busy. They had seating available both inside and outside. You can order at the kiosk, but we decided to order up front with the staff there. We had a bunch of coupons to use that we were able to utilize in separate transactions. The staff was really friendly and cooperative, helping us make all the different purchases we had for them. We ordered the Smore's Loaded Bitz, Cookies & Cream Topped Pretz, Pizza Bomb Twistz, and Triple Grilled Cheese Twistz. The smore's loaded bitz was underwhelming, considering the excitement I had for them. It tastes like Wetzel Bitz just drizzled with chocolate sauce. While it still tasted good, I wish that the marshmallows were melted on top of the bitz and that more toppings were present to really give the bitz a smore's flavor profile. However, the other three items were really good! I would definitely go to get them again. The Twistz, especially, were my favorite. While the food was worth it because of the discounted price after the coupons, it can be a bit pricy otherwise.

Twisted by Wetzels is a novel take on the classic Wetzels Pretzels line. So far, the only location for SoCal is in the La Habra Marketplace. It's a smaller shop on the corner of a set of food chains, so there's just a handful of tables inside and outside. It's has a bit of a test kitchen feel in the sense that their menu has a list of original, unique takes on their pretzels. Currently, their menu offers fully loaded hot dogs, "Twistz" (a braided pretzel with a choice of toppings), "Loaded Bitz" (bite size pretzel squares with sauce and toppings), original and decked out pretzels, chimney cakes, and mixed drinks (slushier, floats, lemonades, etc.). What's great is you can sometimes watch them knead out fresh dough for the orders. I'm excited to see what other items they'll try out in the future. (Rating 4/5) I ordered the "Wetz Coast Classic" dog for my first time (around $8-9). It's a soft pretzel bun with beef hot dog, house sauce, green onions, tomatoes, relish, and slaw. That added depth of flavor from the pretzel bun does really well with the other toppings. It's not quite a gourmet dog, but it's definitely a step up from your usual mall pretzel dog. (Rating 4.5/5) For the drink, I had the Peach Matcha Palmer. This was a nice mix of sweet peach, tart lemonade, and mellow matcha.

Don't get it twisted; these aren't your average mall snack pretzels. I'd seen ads for Twisted for months leading up to their grand opening, and as one of Wetzel's biggest fans, this had been on my must-try list! The interior is so bright and fun, reflecting the fun and creativity of their menu. I feel like this would be a cool concept for an amusement park (maybe revamp their Downtown Disney location?) because of the wide variety of treats and drinks they serve. I opted for their Baja Elote Loaded bits, which are their classic bits covered in elote sauce and seasoning. Even for having come in within half an hour of closing, the pretzels were still fresh! The elote flavor profile was pronounced but felt it could have packed a bit more punch. Also, it was missing one of the most important elements--corn! But alas, I guess I can't have it all. The store was relatively empty on a Saturday night. Staff were still super friendly and helpful and maintained a clean store. Again, I just feel like this location might not get too much traction, and I'd hate to see this spot go! So give Twisted a try! I promise you'll love it :)

I am a big fan of Wetzel's Pretzels, so I had to come here after I saw this restaurant on social media. I drove 1 hour to get here, and I can confirm it was worth it! Sometimes at the mall you get served pretzels that have been sitting and have turned hard. I did not have this experience at all at Twisted, and each pretzel I had was so soft and fresh. ORDER THE TRIPLE GRILLED CHEESE TWIST! This is one of the best things I have ever eaten in my life. The pretzel itself is thick and chewy, with the cheese topping adding some texture. There is fresh mozzarella inside produced a perfect cheese pull, and the garlic and herb sauce added some creaminess. Even with all the cheese, the twist wasn't too salty. The marinara dip perfectly complemented the textures and flavors, but I could definitely eat the twist by itself. I tried an orange slushie, which was yummy. It tasted like a creamsicle (even if I didn't have the ice cream). The cookies and cream topped pretz was a delicious dessert pretzel that wasn't overly sweet. It was covered with the perfect amount of icing and crushed Oreos. Only downside is I got stung by a bee while sitting at one of the tables INSIDE the restaurant. There is a large swarm of bees outside the restaurant, and the door was left open, causing a number of bees to come inside too. I wish they would keep the door closed so that the bees don't come inside. Despite, I still had a positive experience. This restaurant showcases fun and creative ways to enjoy pretzels!

I give this restaurant 5 out of 5 stars because it was AWESOME. My mom and I went here after shopping on a sunny afternoon. We got the pretzel cheese dog bites for $9.00. It was a little overpriced but it was still super good. It was so good that only one wasn't enough, we needed to get another one. My first review! -Ian (Krishna C's son).
